Annual inflation rate stays at 1.2% in euro area in June

28/06/2019 (Agence Europe) – The annual inflation rate in the euro area for June is expected to be 1.2%, similar to the rate recorded in May (see EUROPE B12268A23), according to a flash estimate issued by the Statistical Office of the European Union (Eurostat) on Friday, 28 June. Inflation components such as the price of food, alcohol and tobacco, and the cost of energy and services, are expected to rise at a similar rate - 1.6% - between June 2018 and June 2019, while prices of non-energy...
