Ammonia emissions continue to increase in EU, warns EEA

In the EU, ammonia (NH3) emissions increased by 0.4% in 2017, a confirmed upward trend for the fourth consecutive year, mainly due to agriculture, according to a report published on Friday 28 June by the European Environment Agency (EEA).

This report concerns the EU's NEC Directive, setting national emission ceilings for certain atmospheric pollutants and is based on the latest data available from Member States (see EUROPE B11685A36).
