Finnish Presidency to take over responsibility for EU MRV regulation on maritime transport emissions

Technical progress has been made on February’s proposal to amend the EU MRV Regulation (monitoring, reporting, verification of maritime transport emissions) to bring it into line with the global system for collecting data on ships' fuel consumption adopted by the International Maritime Organisation in 2016 (see EUROPE B12189A25), but the incoming Finnish Presidency will have to take over responsibility for it.
