20/05/2019 (Agence Europe) – In the margins of the OECD meeting in Paris on Thursday 23 May, European Trade Commissioner Cecilia Malmström will participate in a trilateral ministerial meeting with her counterparts from the United States and Japan, the European Commission announced. The purpose of this meeting is to “take stock of the progress made so far" and, since their last meeting in January, on the process aimed at reforming the World Trade Organisation (WTO) (see EUROPE 12169/18). These projects mainly concern rules and disciplines aimed at better understanding and reducing market-distorting practices, such as subsidies and forced technology transfers, as well as problems posed by non-market policies and practices.
