20/05/2019 (Agence Europe) – The High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Federica Mogherini, flew out on Monday 20 May for a mission to the Horn of Africa (Kenya, Djibouti and Ethiopia, 20-22 May). While in Kenya she is scheduled to meeting with President Kenyatta and members of his government on Monday, inaugurate the new offices of the EU delegation, and hold meetings with young people and NGOs. In Djibouti, she has meetings scheduled with President Ismail Omar Guelleh, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, and the Executive Secretary to the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD), Mahboub Maalim. She will also visit the EU maritime security operation, ATALANTA, and an EU-funded desalination project. In Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, Ms. Mogherini will meet with the Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Moussa Faki Mahamat. (AN)
