EU Member States agree to discuss, but not necessarily coordinate, on negotiation of tax reforms at OECD

Pushed by the European Commission, European Finance Ministers discussed on Friday 17 May how to coordinate for the OECD negotiations on tax reforms, including digital taxation (see EUROPE B12256A4).

"This is still a discussion on the discussions", said a European source, noting that no clear conclusions emerged from the meeting, which took place behind closed doors. According to this source, Member States were generally open to discussion, but not necessarily all of them to coordinate.
