MEPs are split between keeping United Kingdom in EU and making Brexit a reality

With 2 days to go before the United Kingdom's initial date of exit from the European Union and after British Prime Minister Theresa May reportedly said she would be ready to leave office if her draft agreement with the EU were adopted, MEPs welcomed the choice left to London by the Twenty-Seven on Wednesday 27 March between adopting the agreement allowing an orderly Brexit by 22 May at the latest and a change in strategy by 12 April (see EUROPE B12219A1)
