Conditional green light for Spirit's acquisition of Asco

The European Commission conditionally approved on Wednesday 20 March the acquisition ofAsco by Spirit, in accordance with EU competition law rules. 

Both Spirit (based in the United States) and Asco (based in Belgium) are active in the aerospace equipment sector and have a global presence. Following a first notification on 17 September 2018, which was withdrawn, and a second on 30 January, the Commission examined the effects of the operation on competition.
