Implementation of EU rapid alert system on disinformation

The European Early Warning System on Disinformation is organising its launch meeting on Monday 18 March; in order to actively participate in the public debate on European issues during the May election campaign. 

Announced in its December 2018 plan to combat fake news (see EUROPE B12153A8), this initiative aims to network Member States and European institutions and coordinate their action in response to a phenomenon that is flourishing thanks to new communication technologies.
