07/03/2019 (Agence Europe) – The Hungarian government announced on 7 March that it would end its anti-EU information campaign focusing on Jean-Claude Juncker and Georges Soros next week. The government had already announced the end of this placarding by 15 March, but on Thursday 7 March, the government also specified that it would not replace this campaign with posters of Frans Timmermans, the First Vice-President of the Commission, as Viktor Orbán had said a few days earlier in an interview with Die Welt. Instead, the government should be posting information on its family policy, according to the Hungarian media. The end of the Hungarian campaign against the EU and the President of the European Commission is one of Manfred Weber's conditions for Viktor Orbán to remain in the EPP family. (SP)
