Copyright reform was supported by two-thirds of MEPs in the Legal Affairs Committee at a special session on Tuesday, 26 February. Sixteen MEPs supported the provisional agreement reached with the Council, while nine opposed it (see EUROPE 12193).
This support is in addition to that given a few days earlier by the Member States' ambassadors to the European Union (Coreper- see EUROPE 12198). It paves the way for a vote in plenary session, most certainly at the end of March.
