MEPs approve emergency measures for social security coordination in event of a no-deal Brexit

26/02/2019 (Agence Europe) – The MEPs of the Employment and Social Affairs Committee (EMPL) approved almost unanimously (36 to 1 vote) the Interinstitutional Agreement on emergency measures in the field of social security in the event of a no-deal Brexit on Tuesday 26 February. The purpose of this revision is essentially to preserve the social security rights of European citizens living in the United Kingdom and vice versa. (PH)
