The European Commission approved on Tuesday 26 February the acquisition by RWE ofE.ON's renewable and nuclear power generation assets, in line with EU competition law rules.
Both companies, based in Germany, are active in the production and wholesale supply, as well as in the distribution and retail sale of electricity.
