Party of European Socialists adopts its programme for May 2019 elections

The Party of European Socialists adopted its manifesto, entitled ‘A new social contract for Europe’, at its congress in Madrid on Saturday 23 February. This five-page document, which brings together the ideas that will be put forward by the European leader, Frans Timmermans, supports the creation of a fund for a just transition, a European unemployment insurance mechanism or a plan for affordable housing.
