Two new market observatories, respectively for fruit and vegetables and for wine, will be launched by the European Commission later this year, the institution announced on Friday 22 February.
These observatories aim to provide more transparency and data on key sectors of European agriculture, the Commission commented in a press release.
Together, these sectors account for about 30% of the value of EU agricultural production: 24.1% for the fruit and vegetables sector and 5.4% for wine.
