EU contributes €45 million to ABC Fund to promote access to capital for small farmers

The EU is contributing €45 million to the new Agribusiness Capital Fund (ABC Fund), which was launched in Rome on Friday 15 February by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) in the presence of the European Commissioner for International Cooperation and Development, Neven Mimica. 

The ABC Fund’s mission is to bridge the gap between supply and demand for investment for smallholder farms and rural finance in developing countries through mixed financing. The needs of...
