Co-legislators meet for first time on Whistleblowers Directive

30/01/2019 (Agence Europe) – The European Parliament and the Council had a first exchange of views on the Whistleblowers Directive on Tuesday 29 January at an interinstitutional meeting. They addressed the thorny issue of the legal basis of the directive. As a reminder, the Council has significantly reduced the number of articles constituting the legal basis of the directive from 17 to 13 articles (see EUROPE 12180), whereas the Parliament has added an article, Article 153 TFEU to cover...
