European Parliament/Council negotiations on reintroduction of temporary controls at internal borders of Schengen area get to heart of matter

30/01/2019 (Agence Europe) – Negotiators from the EU Parliament and Council entered into discussions on Wednesday 30 January on the new Schengen Borders Code rules proposed at the end of 2017 to extend the period for the reintroduction of temporary controls at internal borders (see EUROPE 11881).
