€154 million to combat animal and plant diseases in 2019

The European Commission announced on Wednesday 30 January that it had allocated €154 million in 2019 to fight animal and plant diseases. 

In the field of animal health, €140.5 million has been allocated to support the implementation of 142 programmes (submitted by EU countries) for the eradication, control and monitoring of diseases such as African swine fever in 13 EU countries (€14.3 million, including €4.2 million for Poland) or animal diseases transmissible to humans such as...
