Access of law enforcement authorities to financial information, issues to be resolved in third round of negotiations between European Parliament and Council

Representatives of the EU Council and the European Parliament will, on Thursday 31 January, once again try to reach an agreement in principle on the proposal for a directive to facilitate the use of financial information for the purpose of prevention and detection of criminal offences. After two trilogues and five technical meetings, several points remain undecided.
