The Agriculture Ministers of the European Union countries were divided on Monday 28 January in Brussels on a relaxation of the rules on wine varieties that can be used after 2020.
Wine producing countries are opposed to the Commission's proposal for the wine portion of the proposal for a Regulation on the common market organisation (CMO). The proposal on the CMO is part of the proposals on the post-2020 Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) (see other news).
