24/01/2019 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 23 January, the European Parliament's Committee on Agriculture approved (38 votes in favour, 4 against and 2 abstentions) the compromise text between EU institutions for the Directive to combat unfair trading practices in the agro-alimentary supply chain (see EUROPE 12175, 12163). In particular, it put forward a long list of prohibited unfair trading practices. Parliament will vote on this text during the plenary session from 11 to 14 March in Strasbourg. The Council will then have to formally approve the directive in question. (LC)
