After confirmation of Felix Tshisekedi's victory, EU will consult AU before reaching its common position

The day after the final results of the presidential election were announced in the Democratic Republic of Congo on 30 December, there was embarrassment at the end of the meeting of European foreign ministers, who briefly discussed the situation in the DRC on Monday 21 January in Brussels, promising to discuss it further with the African Union's partners that very evening.
