Blocking minority in Council on copyright reform

The copyright negotiation meeting scheduled for the evening of 21 January will not take place. On Friday 18 January, the Member States' ambassadors to the European Union (Coreper) were unable to agree on a text that should have served as a renewed negotiating mandate for the Romanian Presidency of the Council.

The Romanian Presidency has therefore entered a phase of consultation with the Member States, before taking a decision on the next steps.
