ALDE group in European Parliament denounces murder and imprisonment of members of LGBT community

15/01/2019 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 14 January, the ALDE group in the European Parliament denounced the murder of two members of the LGBT community in Chechnya (Russia) and the imprisonment of dozens of others. “Shame on the instigators and leaders in Russia who turn a blind eye to the situation”, the group emphasised on its Twitter account.“Tortured and murdered because of your sexual orientation: this is happening in 2019, right on the EU’s doorstep”, it added.
