European Parliament wants to reform the multilateral body

Three quarters of MEPs support reform of the World Trade Organisation (WTO).  

471 Members of the European Parliament, or 74% of those voting, voted in favour of a resolution to this effect at a plenary session on Thursday 29 November in Brussels. 

The own-initiative report, drawn up by MEPs Bernd Lange (S&D, Germany) and Paul Rübig (EPP, Austria), was supported by a majority of MEPs, mainly from the SD, EPP and ALDE groups, with the 12.5% of MEPs who rejected it coming mainly from the...
