23/10/2018 (Agence Europe) – An ACP source has told EUROPE that the ambassadors and experts of the 79 countries of the ACP (Africa, Caribbean, Pacific) group and European Union will meet in Brussels on Monday 5 November for a second negotiation meeting on the renewed and updated partnership that will follow on from the Cotonou Agreement when it expires in February 2020. The meeting will involve continuing the work of comparison between the two negotiation mandates – introductory work which was started on 18 October (see EUROPE 12118). No timetable for the continuation of the negotiations has yet been decided. (AN)
