01/10/2018 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 1 October, Transport & Environment, a European organisation for clean mobility, presented the findings of a survey showing that 40% of respondents have confirmed that their next car is “likely” to be electric, while 5% to 12% said it would be “very likely”. Above all, the survey, covering 500 people in nine member states (Spain, Poland, Italy, UK, France, Hungary, Belgium, Germany, Sweden), shows there would be an opportunity to increase sales volumes of electric cars by 2% very rapidly. The Spanish and Italians (48%) are most in favour of this change. The French (24%) and Germans (25%) are far less. Greg Archer, who is responsible for clean cars within T&E, said the real obstacle to the rise in electric cars is not demand but the motor industry.
