Simplification of VAT for SMEs – European Parliament suggests implementation from the end of 2019

In Strasbourg on Tuesday 11 September, members of the European Parliament adopted, by a considerable majority (618 votes to 40 in 24 abstentions), the report for the opinion by Tom Vandenkendelaere (EPP, Belgium) on measures to simplify value-added tax (VAT) for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
