06/09/2018 (Agence Europe) – On 5 September, the European Parliament rapporteurs on Serbia, David McAllister (EPP, Germany), and Kosovo, Igor Šoltes (Greens/EFA, Slovenia), said they "warmly supported" High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini and the presidents of the two countries "to try to reach an agreement which is viable, sustainable, in line with international law and for the benefit of the whole region". Such an agreement "would be a historical achievement and we, in the European Parliament, remain fully committed to provide all our support to the two presidents and to the high representative (...), to ensure a successful outcome", McAllister and Šoltes stated at the end of a meeting with Mogherini. A new dialogue meeting will be held in Brussels on Friday. (CG)
