CORSIA system - Bulc and Cañete keep up pressure for ambitious outcome at ICAO

On Wednesday 13 June, European Commissioners Violeta Bulc (Transport) and Miguel Arias Cañete (Climate Action) said the EU expects the Council of the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) that has just started in Montreal (11-29 June) to decide on some key parameters allowing the Carbon Offset and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation (CORSAIR), the global market measure endorsed in October 2016 to tackle CO2 emissions from aviation, to be a robust and effective system.
