EU and South Korea step up efforts to reach data protection agreement in 2018

06/06/2018 (Agence Europe) – Following the visit to Japan last week, the European Commissioner for Justice has continued her tour on data protection with a visit to South Korea (see EUROPE 12032). On Friday 1 June, she had a meeting with the President of the Korean Data Protection Authority, Lee Hyo-Seong, in an effort to continue the discussions begun last November (see EUROPE 11908) for an approximation decision by the end of the year.
