European Parliament will not budge in its calls for a strong revised energy efficiency directive, warns Benedek Jávor

Ahead of the second trialogue session, on 16 May, on the revised draft directive on energy efficiency, Hungarian MEP Benedek Jávor (Greens/EFA) warned that the European Parliament would not budge from its calls for a strong text, together with a binding energy efficiency target up to 2030 of more than 30% (Parliament wants a 35% target), excluding many flexibilities and exemptions and providing for the transport sector to be fully included.
