Finland and Estonia call for cross-border cooperation in maritime area to continue after 2020

On Monday 7 May, the Minister of Public Administration Janek Mäggi and the Finnish Minister of Economic Affairs Mika Lintilä made a joint statement to request that regional maritime cooperation between the two countries be maintained in the 2021-2027 multiannual financial framework.

The two ministers were responding to the preparatory work that is expected to conclude on 29 May with Commission proposals on post-2020 cohesion policy. They are concerned that the programme Estonia and Finland...
