Following their examination by the ambassadors of the member states to the EU (Coreper) on Tuesday 8 May, the trade ministers of the EU are expected to approve the negotiation directives for free-trade agreements with Australia and New Zealand, which were presented by the European Commission to the Council on 15 September 2017, at their meeting in Brussels on 22 May (see EUROPE 11862).
