08/05/2018 (Agence Europe) – Investors wishing to find out whether a financial services provider is authorised in the European Union will now be able to find out through a register of new companies, which was launched on Monday 7 May on the website of the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA). The register is a one-stop-shop for information about management companies, investment firms, hedge fund managers, the regulated markets, multilateral trading systems, SME growth markets, organised trading systems, systematic internalisers and data communications service providers accredited by the competent national authorities under various European laws.
