At their hearing before the European Parliament’s PEST special committee on Thursday 26 April, which is chaired by Éric Andrieu (S&D), the representatives of ANSES, KEMI and HSE, respectively the French, Swedish and UK authorities responsible for assessing and authorising the marketing of plant health products, placed great emphasis on the scientific rigour and transparency of their work within the current EU regulatory framework (Regulation 1107/2009)(see EUROPE 12009).
