Commission proposes negotiation of new fisheries agreement with Madagascar

On Wednesday 25 April, the European Commission adopted a proposal in which it seeks permission to negotiate a new fisheries agreement between the EU and Madagascar.

It asks the Council for permission to negotiate a new sustainable fisheries partnership agreement in order to incorporate certain provisions of Regulation 1380/2013 (Common Fisheries Policy) not contained in the agreement currently in force.
