29/03/2018 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 28 March, High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini announced in a press release the change of post of five senior officials in European External Action Service (EEAS). The EU Special Representative for the Middle East Peace Process, Italian national Fernando Gentilini, thus becomes the new EEAS Managing Director for the Middle East and North Africa. Spanish national Belén Martinez Carbonell becomes the new EEAS Human Resources Director, replacing Swedish national Björn Larsson, who becomes the new EEAS Director for Security and Infrastructure. Belgian national Philippe Ruys is to be the new EEAS Director for Budget and Support, while the post of Head of EU Delegation to Colombia is to be taken by Patricia Llombart Cussac. (CG)
