Cretu insists that future conditionalities around rule of law apply to all EU policies

In an exchange with the MEPs on the regional development (REGI) committee on Tuesday 27 March, Regional Policy Commissioner Corina Crețu acknowledged the value of new conditionalities in connection with the rule of law and managing migration but only if they apply to all European policies. Her statement is particularly well timed, coming as it does on the eve of a College of Commissioners policy debate (see other article).
