International Road Transport Union concerned about revision of Eurovignette directive

23/03/2018 (Agence Europe) – The International Road Transport Union (IRU) expresses concern in a press release dated 22 March about the potential impact of the revision of EU Directive 1999/62/EC (see EUROPE 11799) on the Eurovignette, in terms of commercial transport services.  The IRU recognises the usefulness of a revision but fears that passenger and goods vehicle transporters would have to bear a greater fiscal burden.  Commercial road transport is prepared to move forward, but the...
