Commission proposes aid of €4.6 million workers for Caterpillar employees in Belgium

23/03/2018 (Agence Europe) – On Friday 23 March, the European Commission announced the sum of €4.6 million under the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund (EGF) to support some 2,300 Caterpillar employees who have been made redundant in Belgium. The aim is to help them to get back into the employment market. With the aid of the Region of Wallonia, the total envelope of these measures stands in the region of €7.7 million.
