Malmström assures of no compromises on content of EU-Mercosur trade agreement

On Thursday 22 March, European Trade Commissioner Cecilia Malmström said there was no hurry to conclude a free trade agreement between the EU and Mercosur (Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay) to the detriment of its content, and she gave assurances that the sensitivities of the European agricultural sector were being taken into account.

"We are not making compromises on the content (of an agreement) in order to go quickly, but we are progressing and I hope it will be possible to...
