Baltic States and Poland reaffirm will to synchronise Baltic electricity network with continental European network

At a meeting with European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker on the sidelines of the European Council in Brussels on 22 March, Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaitė, Estonian Prime Minister Jüri Ratas, Latvian Prime Minister Māris Kučinskis and Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki reaffirmed their “strong commitment” to synchronising the Baltic States’ – Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania – electricity grid with the continental European System “by 2025”.
