ECA advocates continuation of simplification of research funding

In a briefing paper prepared as input to discussions on the programme that is to succeed Horizon 2020, the European Court of Auditors (ECA) called on Wednesday 21 March for simplification of the rules on research funding (see EUROPE 11917).

The document, prepared for the European Parliament and the Council of the EU, takes the same tack as previous papers, notably that of 14 April 2016 which highlighted potential difficulties resulting from the complexity of the rules on research funding....
