Assessment of latent trade dispute with Washington expected at European Parliament, with Cecilia Malmström

While the European Commission awaits clarification from the US administration on the outcome for the EU of the customs duties enacted by US President Donald Trump on Thursday 8 March, which will be applied in around ten days' time against imports of steel and aluminium into the USA, the European Parliament will discuss the US restrictions with European Trade Commissioner Cecilia Malmström in Strasbourg on Wednesday 14 March, as well as the EU's possible response.
