Parliament endorses inter-institutional agreement on road transport workers' qualifications and training

On Tuesday 13 March, MEPs meeting up for their plenary session overwhelmingly approved (604 votes for, 80 against, with 7 abstentions) the inter-institutional agreement reached between the former Estonian Presidency of the Council of the European Union and the European Parliament on 12 December last on basic qualifications and permanent training for transport workers, particularly bus and coach drivers, as well as on driving licences (see EUROPE 11924).
