For reasons of public health and environmental protection, the European Parliament, sitting in Brussels on Thursday 1 March, once again vetoed on the marketing in the European Union of GMOs for food or feed.
The first objection was in relation to the renewal of the marketing authorisation of genetically modified maize DAS-59122, products in which it is an ingredient and products made from it. The objection was passed by 405 votes to 205, with 25 abstentions.
