Human Rights Commissioner and Conference of INGOs speak out against 'Stop Soros' laws being examined in Hungary

The raft of law bills jointly known as "Stop Soros", currently under discussion in Hungary, has caused outcry at the Council of Europe.

Yesterday, the Conference of INGOs (international non-governmental organisations) and the council of experts on NGO law announced that they shared the concerns of Yves Cruchten, rapporteur of the Parliamentary Assembly on the inappropriate restriction of the activities of NGOs in Europe and slammed the Hungarian legislative package.
