Bulgarian Presidency tries to allay concerns of central, Eastern and remote member states about competition in aviation

The 7 February revised draft compromise from the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU on the review of Regulation 868/2004 has been seen by this newsletter.  It falls within the spirit of the text unveiled by the European Commission on 8 June 2017 (see EUROPE 11804), but suggests a number of safeguards to allay the concerns of central, Eastern and peripheral member states.
